Minimalist style, custom designed wellness sauna at home
One of our clients, an enthusiastic minimalist, came to us with the special need to design and build a sauna-wellness-fitness department in his house, also influenced by minimalism.
Our client had a very precise and particular solid idea about the appearance of the wellness area, which was challenging at first, but in the end we found the best solution, as always.
The front side was mounted with a special glass wall and a unique fastening system; so each joint is in the same plane and the profiles remain hidden.
In the wellness area we designed a uniform U-shaped hidden LED mood lighting in on the ceiling.
A custom-designed indoor Finnish sauna with a 9kW Harvia hidden sauna heater and an infrared sauna have also been. Installed, made out of hand-crafted A+ Canadian red cedar wood paneling, in minimalist style.
In addition, the wellness area was equipped with an exclusive-looking steam cabin with Korakril suspended benches, a hand shower, white crystal-glass sidewalls and ceilings, and at last but not least a 9kW Harvia steam generator which ensures the original steam experience.
To avoid that the sauna-wellness area to be too rigid, we brought the natural style back by mounting two sections of false ceilings with A+ Canadian red cedar wood paneling.
These got installed above the fitness area and the plunge pool with dimmable hidden RGB LED mood lights.
Between two sauna sessions, the custom-built plunge pool and the built-in automatic ice machine provides excellent refreshment.
In order to accommodate the machines and to secure the service openings, we have created a hidden plant room with a separate entrance.
The floor of the wellness area is made out of finely grained terrazzo tiles with no grout.
Inside the wellness area there is a fitness area with oak flooring, equipped with cardio machines. This was mounted.
The large-screen TV wall was mounted with a uniquely patterned, painted glass-wall system, three mirrors and hidden LED lights. Furthermore another experience shower was installed, with a dual headed rain shower feature and tempered clear glass.
