When wellness is not a function, but a way of life
When the Joy family was created, we did not want to design just another sauna house. From the very first sketches, one question guided us:
how can wellness truly become a natural part of the home all year round, without compromises?
As the team of iSauna Design Kft., we have been working for more than two decades to ensure that the sauna is not a separate element, but an integral part of a thoughtfully designed, harmonious living space. The Joy Aurora is one of the purest expressions of this philosophy.
Four seasons. One concept.
In our reference materials, we deliberately present the Joy Aurora in spring, summer, autumn, and winter settings. Not as a staged visual, but in real, everyday use. Because this building is not seasonal.
In winter, when snow softens all sounds, the contrast between the steam rising from the sauna and the warm interior lighting creates the sense of a safe, enclosed world we seek at this time of year.
In autumn, nature’s colors and the evening light slow everything down; the sauna becomes a transition between day and night.
In spring and summer, the space opens up: large glass surfaces, the terrace, and relaxation zones live together with the garden.
This is not a visual design exercise. It is proof that the Joy Aurora is technically and architecturally designed for all four seasons.
The structure you don’t see, but that defines everything
We always say: a good wellness house does not start with finishes, but with structure.
The Joy Aurora is a custom-built outdoor wellness house with a carefully engineered spruce timber frame, combined with a multi-layer thermal and vapor-control system. The heat-reflective membranes, vapor-permeable layers, and mineral wool insulation used in the walls and roof all serve one purpose: to provide stable thermal comfort and predictable performance in both summer and winter.
The ventilated roof structure, concealed metalwork, and durable roofing are not visual elements, yet they deliver the longevity expected from a wellness house designed for year-round use.
The sauna wellness house as a center of health
At the heart of the Joy family is a full-value Finnish sauna.
For us, it was essential that the sauna should not be a “hidden function,” but a natural part of the space.
In the interior, we use first-class Canadian red cedar, with ergonomic bench layouts, concealed ambient lighting, and professional sauna technology. The selected Harvia sauna heater and the intelligent iSauna Home control system enable precise and reliable use—whether for a quick evening sauna or a longer, slower sauna ritual.
The sauna is directly connected to the relaxation and living areas. There is no need to “change for wellness” – here, wellness is woven into everyday life.
More than a wellness house
The Joy family is not built around a single function. It is a complex space designed to enhance quality of life.
Relaxation zones, the terrace, optional wet areas, integrated lighting, sound technology, and finely adjustable building services all serve one goal: to ensure that the time spent here is truly meaningful.
Underfloor heating, carefully selected finishes, shading, and ventilation together ensure that the building is not only beautiful, but also designed for long-term use across generations.
Real sauna experiences
It is no coincidence that life appears in the reference images: conversations, relaxation, sauna sessions, quiet moments together.
We do not design sterile spaces.
This is what iSauna Design Kft. represents: calm, quality, and true presence – designed for generations.
